It is easy to recognize the Holy Spirit as the third part of the Godhead: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. However, it is one thing to acknowledge the Holy Spirit and an entirely different reality to have Him remain in our lives. In this timely message, Pastor Kilpatrick highlights the vital truth witnessed by John the Baptist in John 1. The verse states, “‘And John bore witness: ‘I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.’” This powerful reality demands our attention.
It is one thing for the Holy Spirit to visit our lives, our gatherings, or our worship services, but does He remain? In a world filled with various “ministries,” how many of them are truly filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit? We must not be caught up in routines or mere activities. Instead, we should seek the presence of the Holy Spirit and live our daily lives in a way that does not cause “the dove” to fly away.
This message is relevant to anyone, anywhere, at any time. It is a timely word for relationships, marriages, and our fellowships of believers. If we desire to do anything for the Lord, in His name, may we not carry out a single action or speak a single word without the presence of the Holy Spirit.
