It is easy to recognize the Holy Spirit as the third part of the Godhead; The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is one thing to acknowledge Holy Spirit, it is an entirely different reality to have Him remain in our lives. In this timely message, Pastor Kilpatrick points out the integral truth in John 1 that John the Baptist witnessed. John 1:32 reveals, ‘“And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.”’ This is a strikingly powerful reality.
It is one thing to have Holy Spirit visit our lives, visit our gatherings, visit our worship services; but does He remain? There are many different “ministries” in the world today. How many of them are filled with the presence of Holy Spirit? We cannot be caught up into routines or doing things just because. We must not only seek out the presence of Holy Spirit but live out our daily lives in such a way that does not cause “the dove” to fly away.
No matter where you are, or when you are, this is a now word for you. It is a now message for your relationships. It is a now message for your marriage. It is a now message for your congregation. If we ever desire to do ANYTHING for the Lord, in the name of the Lord, may we not carry out a single action or word from our lips without the presence of Holy Spirit.
